Having gotten its start in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, it’s only right that Raising Cane’s goes all out for Mardi Gras! Each Mardi Gras season, we celebrate big by leaning into our Cajun roots, love for tradition and commitment to supporting local Communities and artists.
To kick-start our Mardi Gras campaign this year, we teamed up with Queen Tahj, a passionate Louisiana artist of the Golden Eagles Tribe who has achieved national acclaim for her art and community involvement.
Tahj created custom beaded artwork for our campaign that taps into New Orleans culture and features a vibrant second line band marching through the French Quarter with Raising Cane’s Founder and Co-CEO Todd Graves and Cane III joining the parade.
Throughout the Mardi Gras season, Raising Cane’s is giving back to local Communities by selling Doubloon keychains for $1 at participating Restaurants until March 4 that give Customers a free Cane’s Sauce with any purchase. Customers can redeem the Doubloon at any Raising Cane’s until April 18. To find a participating Restaurant, click HERE.
Doubloon sales from our New Orleans Restaurants will be donated to the New Orleans Tourism and Cultural Fund, a non-profit that Queen Tahj selected which supports the culture of the city through partnerships, grants and programs. Our Doubloon sales outside of New Orleans will be donated to local non-profit organizations that support the arts and positively impact Communities as a whole.
In addition to giving back to Communities with proceeds donated through our Doubloon sales, Raising Cane’s is also donating $250,000 to the New Orleans New Year’s Day Tragedy Fund.
