College Basketball Champs Nimari Burnett and Charlie May Work Slam-dunk Shift at Raising Cane’s

04.09.26

Fresh off of their national title win, men’s college basketball standouts Nimari Burnett and Charlie May made a surprise appearance at our Ann Arbor, Michigan, Restaurant to keep the championship celebration going.

On April 9th, the duo clocked in for a shift, this time taking their shot at a different position – Raising Cane’s Fry Cooks & Cashiers. Just steps away from their local university, Burnett and May traded their typical late-night Cane’s run as Customers for a chance to step behind the counter and work side by side with Crewmembers while learning the Cane’s playbook.

From cutting down nets to pumping Cane’s Sauce, Burnett and May brought their A game straight from the court to the Kitchen as they served our Craveable Chicken Finger Meals® to the Community who supported them throughout their championship run. After spending the morning bagging Box Combos, the players took time to connect with fans and local Caniacs, sign autographs and snap selfies before the final buzzer went off.

Bringing Communities together and creating memorable experiences is at the heart of what we do. Find a Raising Cane’s near you and stay tuned to see which Caniac champion will be next to bring the chicken finger celebration to their hometown Restaurant!
